1. What did you dream of becoming when you were a child?

At age eight I wanted to join the army and drive a tank. From age 12 I wanted to run my own business. By the time I was 13, I had four after school jobs on the go at the same time. It’s important that we realise the dreams we have, even those from childhood – that’s often when we’re least afraid of risk.

2. Who is your favourite author?

I love anything to do with the law and how courtroom dramas play out, so I gravitate towards any John Grisham novel.

3. Name the most memorable event you have ever attended, and why?

There are so many, but probably ReedPop’s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) in the United States. It’s a convention dedicated to comics, pop culture, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. I have never seen such die-hard, committed fans. Their enthusiasm is infectious and the experience is massive fun.

4. Describe your perfect vacation?

Something extreme, exhilarating and adventurous. I’ve been ticking off my bucket list for years and finally got to drive a WWII tank in Texas recently!

5. If you were going to start your own business now what would it be?

If I told you, you might steal my idea! Jokes aside, this industry is in my blood so I would develop some new ideas and concepts which, as an entrepreneur, I find exciting.

6. What advice would you give small businesses on getting through Covid19?

Work hard, innovate and motivate your staff. Reduce overheads and cut as many costs as you can until the business and revenue is secured. Always live within your means.

7. What is the best part about working for RX Global?

Being part of a global leader in the exhibitions industry motivates you to do your best and continue wanting the best for your organisation and yourself. Reed Exhibition is people-centric and has amazing products in interesting sectors – there’s always something positive and incredible to learn.
