More than 370 exhibitors take to the show floor

Infosecurity Europe, ExCeL London, 22 June 2022: The first day of 2022’s packed conference programme at Infosecurity Europe 2022 opened with a presentation from Lieutenant General Tom Copinger-Symes, Deputy Commander, UK Strategic Command. He held the audience in the palm of his hand for his session, Tackling the Uncertain Future of Security Threats, in which he described how UK Defence is meeting the threats and opportunities of the Information Age. A Keynote Catch-up video with Tom can be found here.

Also popular on the Keynote Stage were presentations from Nitin Natarajan, Deputy Director, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency – Don’t Fall for it! – Protecting your Data in Times of Constant Connection, Misha Glenny, Author, Journalist and Specialist on Organised Crime and Cybersecurity – Geopolitics and Cyber Insecurity, and Keith Martin, Professor of Information Security, Royal Holloway, University of London – Applying Cryptography in a Real World Setting to Build Secure Systems. A Keynote Catch-up video with Nitin can be found here.

Many of the other conference theatres also enjoyed full houses during the day, including the Tech & Strategy Talks stage, which featured inspiring bite-size presentations showcasing cybersecurity insight, knowledge and expertise. Sessions covered best practice in areas ranging from ransomware response (Trend Micro) and SaaS security (Canonic Security), to investigating and disrupting cybercrime (Microsoft) and threat detection using log management (CrowdStrike).

On the exhibition floor, visitors flocked to explore three zones dedicated to spotlighting the newest technologies, the most innovative companies, and the security leaders of tomorrow: The Discovery Zone, The Start-Up Zone and The Cyber Innovation Zone.

Nicole Mills, Exhibition Director at Infosecurity Group, comments: “It’s been a long wait – but the infosec community is finally back together in person, and it feels great. The show floor was awash with activity as soon as the doors opened, and we were delighted to welcome so many new and familiar faces. As always, there’s a brilliant atmosphere and visitors are making the most of the exciting talks, insightful sessions and excellent networking opportunities on offer.”
